Sanjeevani Project Phase II

The easiest way to help create a greener India is planting trees. This reduces air pollution and reverses the effects of deforestation.

To back our vision of a clean and green India, Mobius Foundation initiated a mass tree plantation drive on June 7, 2018 (World Environment Day).

On the successful completion of Phase I, we immediately decided to launch the next stage. On April 8th, 2019, Mr. Burman launched Phase II of Project Sanjeevani with the same goal of environmental sustainability. The launch event was attended by guests from various government departments and environment organisations in Haryana and other states.

Many significant dignitaries supported the cause, including SDO, Agriculture; SDM, Gohana; KVK Scientist, Panipat; DDM, Panipat (NABARD); President of 33 Farmer Clubs and Sarpanch of villages Chidana, Kakrana and Shamdi in Sonepat. An essay competition among nine schools was also held as a part of the initiative.

On the successful completion of Phase I, Mr. Pradip Burman, Chairman & Founder, Mobius Foundation addressed the gathering. Amongst those present were eminent dignitaries, such as Mr. M. J. Saxena (MD, Ayurvet Limited), Dr. R. S. Khanna (Chairman – Kwality), Dr. A. C. Varshney (Director General – ARF), Dr. Vijay Pal Singh (Dy. Director – FSSAI), Major General M. L. Sharma (Chairman – National Academy of Vet. Sc.) and Mr. Vijay Pratap Singh (CHRO – Ayurvet). Guests from various government departments included Shri. Sanjay Kumar, Dr. JK Mandal, Dr. Rajbeer, Mr. Rajesh Hooda, Dr. Dalal, Dr. Satish and Mr. Yadubeer Singh.

Under Project Sanjeevani, 5000 saplings were planted in the villages of Sonepat and Panipat districts of Haryana, primarily to create awareness about the environmental benefits of trees among students and farmers. With the launch of Phase 2, we hope to plant more and expand our reach.

The ‘Phase 2’ launch event opened with a review of the Environment and Sustainability Exhibition by students, followed by insightful speeches, dance performances and three special award ceremonies – for winners of the essay competition, for students who participated in the cultural programme and science exhibition, and for schools that participated in the drive.
