Mobius Foundation

Requires following personnel under the authority of the Chairman of the Foundation and direct supervision of its CEO. The position is temporary for a period of one year and can be extended further based on the performance and appraisal.

PROGRAMME COORDINATOR- Environment and Sustainability

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Advanced university degree preferably a post graduate or doctorate in environmental science/engineering or related areas.
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience, including in the field of environment and sustainable development or related area in programme and project planning and analyses, strategy setting and implementation.
  • Work experience in assignments related to the formulation and implementation of environmental projects in the areas of environment/sustainability education, climate change, sustainable development and population stabilization in a reputed organization is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience of implementing environmental programmes/projects including excellent communication, presentation, documentation, reporting skills.
  • Proven analytical capacity and in-depth knowledge of various dimensions of environment and sustainable development; good research skills and ability to coordinate the production of reports and papers on technical issues; efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines and achieving results; shows persistence when faced with difficult problems or challenges; remains calm in stressful situations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project coordination, including research, analysis, development and implementation of  environment projects and programmes, liaison with partners from academic institutions, civil society, private sector, Government, UN and other international organizations
  • Research, analysis and documentation of scientific and technical papers/reports for preparation of quality proposals and related documents, reports, presentations etc.
  • Preparation of strategic plans,  follow-up action, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the projects and programmes.
  • Raising the visibility and profile of the programmes, develop appropriate communication material, reports and proposals, publications, background papers, briefings and correspondence.
  • Perform other related duties as required including a variety of tasks necessary for the successful delivery of project outcomes.

THE SELECTION PROCESS

The cover letter and resume of candidates that meet the specific requirements will be reviewed and assessed by the Mobius team and later by a selection committee. It is important, for the purposes of evaluating your application, please provide the clear statement about how you meet the minimum qualifications and experience fully articulating the depth of your knowledge and experience in the field of environment and sustainable development issues. After evaluating each applicant’s resume and cover letter, the highest ranked candidates will be contacted for a competency based personal interview to be held in early April 2020.

 

SALARY

Negotiable, consolidated emoluments may range between Rs 50000 to 70000 approximately.
